One pick, two roads. The GC men grind out high finishes for three weeks — Isaac del Toro (just won the Dauphiné, red-hot), Remco Evenepoel (a time-trial motor and podium threat), and France's 19-year-old hope Paul Seixas (a lovely story, a poor tactic). The fast men win stages in bunches — Philipsen and Merlier (purest sprinters), Pedersen (strong enough for the hilly days), and van der Poel (early yellow, wins on days that make no sense).
Munro's verdict: want points early and often, take a sprinter; playing the long game, take del Toro while he's hot — but never pick on the jersey ye like best.
